Description: Dancers continue to gain grace and confidence through classical ballet and building strength through advanced techniques and combinations of steps. Add POINTE to this class and students can begin to explore the exercises and techniques of Pointe!
This class will hold an in-class Winter Performance December 22nd. This class participates in Darlington's Spring Dance Recital, held offsite at Cab Calloway School for the Arts on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Upon registration each student will be charged a $30 dance recital fee. Each student will receive two recital tickets (additional tickets will be available for purchase). Recital costumes will be selected by teachers. Parents will be notified of costume style, size and price in December (estimated price is $50-$85 per costume).
Required Class Attire: Solid black leotard, footed pink tights. Wear pink leather ballet slippers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck and secured in a bun. No jewelry except small stud earrings. Bring a water bottle.
If Darlington is forced to close due to PA State Mandate, classes will continue online to ensure the continuity of arts enrichment.
Biography:Dance Education, University of the Arts. Additional training: Ibsen Dance Theatre (Kansas City, MO). Has performed at Merriam Theatre, Gershman Y, Gladstone Theatre in the Park (Kansas City, MO). Has taught through the Ibsen Dance Theatre and privately, and has participated in competitive dance teams and dance intensives.
