Description
Nancy Kochli is back and will show you how to weave a functional market basket, which will stand out at the farmer's market or look beautiful in your home!
You will also learn how to modify this basket pattern to create other baskets of different sizes. Ways to modify the pattern will be discussed in class, so you will leave with the ability to apply your new skills to future projects.
This is a beginner level class. Prior weaving experience is helpful, but not required.
Materials to weave the basket will be provided but you must bring some tools with you to class. Be sure to download the supply list when you register.

We will be working through lunch so be sure to bring a lunch or snack and drink.
FAQ's
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable old clothes. We will be soaking the reeds to make them pliable to work with so you will most likely get wet during class.
Do I need to bring anything to class?

Will I complete my basket during class?
Yes.
Can I stain my basket?
Yes, the instructor will give you options on how to stain your basket at home. We will not be staining in class.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This activity has been planned while COVID19 health and safety guidelines / restrictions are still in place. If these guidelines / restrictions are changed or lifted prior to the start of the activity the below will be modified.
-Each participant / family member accompany must complete a self health assessment prior to attending class
-Any participant that is not feeling well, has a fever, tested positive for or waiting for a COVID test, or have been around someone in the last 14 days that has test positive for or waiting for a COVID test result shall not attend.
-Participants will be asked to wash their hands or use provided hand sanitizer upon arrival.
-When entering the building masks will be required for those ages 5+
-6' of physical distance will be encourage at all times,
-each participant will be seated at their own table during class.
-there will be no sharing of supplies. Participants are required to bring their
own tools to complete the project. The instructor will distribute other needed materials to each participant.
