This course teaches the skills and provides the knowledge necessary to become a professional lifeguard. Candidates must be 15 years of age (by the last day of class) and pass a swimming skills pretest. Successful candidates receive certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Candidates must register and pay prior to taking the pretest. A refund is provided if the candidate does not pass the pretest, less a $5 admin fee. Please note: This course will require students to complete approximately 7 hours of on-line coursework prior to the course completion date. There is an additional $35 fee for the on-line coursework. The deadline to register for this program is April 7.
