Evergreen Watercolor Illustration

Tuition: $75 Members / $95 Non-Members

Botanical artist Maia Hausler will teach you the basics of painting evergreens using watercolor; everything from observational study to the art of adding (or leaving out) details such as textures and needles. The goal is to have a finished work that is easily identifiable as the specific species you are illustrating, but still retain your individual artistic style. We will start the with a series of demonstrations and sketching sessions to really learn our subjects. On day two we will turn our sketches into finalized illustrations, 8x10 or smaller is recommended. Your finished paintings will make a great holiday gift or decoration for your own home!
