Aging Reimagined - Spring 2025

Activity
Spring 2025 - FY 24/25|#49460

Apr 1, 2025 - Jun 24, 2025
All ages, Mixed

Description

When you think about aging what comes to mind? A revered wisdom holder? Being over the hill? Health problems? Loneliness? A respected elder? Invisible? Marginalized? Freedom to do what you want? Maybe a mixture of all of these things? Aging is something that happens to everybody but is rarely talked about. People over age 65 are now living for an entire generation longer; 25 years.

It’s common now to live to be 90, yet people don’t think of that time as an entire generation that starts at 65. What happens to
us during that time? What are our hopes and fears, our goals and wishes? How do we grieve things; how do we go on?

Terrie and Leslie are two retired mental health therapists who will examine these issues with a group of interested participants.
Enrollment is free and open to our community. All ages, genders, identifications, races, religions, opinions encouraged.
