Connect Recreation Program - Pavo Real

The Connect Recreation Program is a drop-in program and there is no fee. This program is for youth 6-14 years of age. There is an opportunity for youth 15-17 years of age to be Guides (volunteers). Attendance is taken, but there are no sign-in and out sheets. There is a Connect Program theme each month that will focus on sports and a positive power word (Leadership, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Integrity, Giving, Honesty, etc.). The main goals are for staff in recreation centers to Connect with youth and get them connected to a healthier lifestyle. Staff encourages feedback from youth on activities they would like to see, activities can vary from sites. Free lunch is provided at most recreation Connect Program sites.
