VISION
The El Paso Parks and Recreation Mini-Sports Program provides quality programs for participants between the ages of 4 to 7 that may have various background and skill levels.
The Parks and Recreation Department truly believes in the benefits of participation in recreational sports. Participation in sports has proven to build self-esteem, promote team-work, develop the body as well as the mind, and is an integral part of the maturing process. Involvement in the Mini-Sports program will promote learning and participation first, as no score is kept.
The goals for this program are to teach teamwork, skills and sportsmanship; and to provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment for children regardless of skill level.
Mini-Sports offer co-ed recreational activities in two divisions for boys and girls ages 4-5 and 6-7. Participants register individually and are placed on organized teams. Up to four players may be assigned to one team upon the request of parents.
