Notes

The El Paso Parks and Recreation Mini-Sports Program provides quality programs for participants between the ages of 4 to 7 that may have various background and skill levels. Involvement in the Mini-Sports program will promote learning and participation first, as no score is kept. The goals for this program are to teach teamwork, skills and sportsmanship; and to provide a safe, nurturing, fun environment for participants.

Participants register individually and placed on organized teams. Up to four players may be assigned to one team upon the request of parent. Participants must meet age requirements by league start date. Age verification may be requested at any time during the course of the league. Scholarships are available for eligible applicants. Contact the nearest Recreation Center for additional information.

Practices and games: Coaches or recreation center staff will select one day during the week for team practice. Games are typically played on Saturday mornings. If the number of registrants at recreation center is not adequate for and independent league, games will be played at regional locations in proximity to recreation center.

Volunteer coaches needed. All coaches must consent to pass a background check and attend an orientation.

Registration must be done at any Recreation Center. At least one parent is required to attend a Parent Class or view video class annually. Parent's classes begin January 9, 2019; call the nearest Recreation Center for date. Parent class - $5, Parent Video class - $7.
