Description

Lullabies are soothing songs played for or sung to children. Lullabies are a beautiful way to pass down cultural knowledge or tradition, comfort children in distress, and lull a child off to sleep. Lullaby 101 is designed to be an educational, hands-on social support group. Traditional lullabies will be introduced and taught. Participants will:

  • learn lullaby tunes and lyrics to play and interact with young ones; learn how to choose soothing activities to help calm, cope and relax; learn simple rhythmic tapping techniques; learn how to create new and original songs.

The course will provide a creative space and supportive environment for parents and children to work out their musical ideas and bond at a deeper level through song and swaddling
