Description

To address the well-being of our community and customers during this very stressful time, The Center for Music Therapy (CMT) at the Music Settlement is offering remote “Music for Self-Care and Wellness” sessions for individuals and groups (i.e. families). Music when used as a therapeutic tool can enhance people’s emotions, calm troubled minds, relax tense bodies, and unite people in a common experience. Music therapists use the nature of music to tailor experiences to address the unique challenges and needs of each individual. Music therapy experiences may include music assisted relaxation, song writing, music listening and discussion, creating a relaxation playlist, interactive singing, and interactive instrument playing. Services are provided via Zoom, Skype, or phone.
