Description

Full day of building survival skills and testing yourself against survival scenarios! Skills taught/practiced will include building shelters, fire safety/building, knife safety, tracking, foraging, teamwork, traps, orienteering, cordage and knots, and primitive skills. We won't get to all of them but will get in a lot based on instructor and student preference. Our goal is building initiative, self-control, and judgement skills while connecting with the natural world and having fun. We use teaching scenarios based on real life survival and play survival themed games. The week ends with an exciting final scenario and a certificate of achievement. No prerequisites needed.

Students should bring appropriate clothing, water, lunch/snacks, and sunscreen and should wear clothes that can get dirty or wet. Contact Coyle Outside at 541-760-0774 for details about curriculum. Coyle Outside donates 10% of annual profits to causes that benefit youth and nature.

All camps take place at Mary S. Young Park (19900 Willamette Drive, West Linn, OR 97068)
