Description:
Twirl around and leap to the stars! Students ages 4 to 7 will learn basics and beyond of classical ballet including: five positions, pliés, passés, and chasses. Classes will include across the floor, classical barre technique, center floor technique, as well as stretching and strengthening exercises. Dancers will also learn a choreographed routine that will be presented to the parents on the last day of class! Recommended ballet attire; Girls: hair in bun, leotard, tights, ballet shoes (any color is fine), Boys: white or black (plain) t-shirt with black jazz or comfy pants (absolutely no jeans) and ballet shoes (any color is fine). A certified Webby Dance Company instructor will teach this fun and exciting class. Dancers will benefit by increasing their memory, concentration, flexibility, gross motor skills and creativity all in a fun a caring environment.Class takes places at the Walnut Senior Center, 21201 La Puente Rd. Walnut.
Please Note, there is an event in the parking lot on the last day of class.

Biography:
Melissa Quigley began dancing at the age of seven and continued throughout Junior High and High School. Melissa also performed at Disneyland as a character. After High School, she attended Cal State Fullerton and studied modern, ballet, jazz, and gymnastics. While in college, she worked as a choreographer for Diamond Bar High School. Melissa graduated with a B.A. in Radio, T.V. and Film, and a Minor in Dance. Since then, she has taught in local dance studios, working with various competition teams and winning numerous awards. Melissa started working for WEBBY Dance Company as an Instructor in 2003. She continued her growth with the company and currently co-owns two territories in Southern California.?
