Description:
Music Together® recognizes that all children are musical, and that every child needs a stimulating, supportive music environment to achieve basic competence in the wonderful human capacity of music making. Adults and children ages newborn through five years come together for 45 minutes to sing songs, experience rhythm chants, dance and move to music, play instruments, make up silly rhymes for songs and experience a wide range of rhythmic and melodic variety. This live music making takes place in a fun, playful, non-performance oriented and age-appropriate setting, with adults and teacher acting as encouraging role models.
Classes are led by a registered Music Together teacher. Tuition includes two professionally recorded CDs, a beautifully illustrated songbook and a parent guide to help you get the most out of this internationally-acclaimed, research-based program. Music Together® classes are welcoming to all learning styles and appropriate for special needs students and their families!
This is a parent participation class. No class 7/6 &7/20.
Biography:Jody discovered Music Together® right after moving to Pleasanton CA with her husband and three daughters. She is a registered Music Together ® instructor in her 16th year of teaching the Music Together ® program. Jody has earned the prestigious Certification level 1 qualification from Princeton's Music Together ® Center for Music and Young Children for outstanding achievement in teaching and articulating of the program. Jody is specially trained not only in teaching mixed-age classes but also in the infants under 8 months course, Big Kids? Music Together ® ages 5-8 classes as well as Music Together ® guitar classes for adults. She plays piano, guitar and recorder in her classes and brings energy and exuberance to toddlers and parents in the delight of songs, rhythm and dance.
