Description:
In our face ? cubed! You?ll start with a photograph taken from the front and side. When the photos are printed, the creativity begins! Cut up your black and white prints and recombine to incorporate multiple perspectives within the same image. Embellish with color and geometric elements to transform your portrait in a style reminiscent of Picasso?s cubist paintings.
Subsequently we will do more Picasso-inspired art activities. Play with dimension, perspective, line and color, exploring the compositional innovations of the early 20th century Cubist Art Movement. We will explore use of collage and paper Mache to build shape and form and who knows, a cup of tea with your face on it might drive Salvador Dali from being sur-real to real!
Note: The challenges range from simple to complex to accommodate and enhance all skill levels.
