Description

Fahrenheit 451 (1966) NR; 112 min.

French New Wave auteur Francois Truffaut's film based on the 1953 novel by sci-fi great Ray Bradbury. The novel, set in a dystopian American Midwest in the year 1999, has ironically been banned through the years for its critical depiction of censorship and for adult language. The film version, Truffaut's only film in English, stars British ingénue Julie Christie in both the roles of hero and villain.
