Charlotte County "Fit for Life" Senior Games provides a fulfilling and rewarding experience for all participants. Our Olympic-style events focus on athletic competition, camaraderie and recreational opportunities. These local games are sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and serve as a qualifier for the Florida Senior Games State Championships held each December.

Eligibility

Open to amateur athletes, 50 years of age and over as of December 31, 2021.

Age Divisions

Age divisions for single competitions are: 50-54. 55-59, 60-64, 65-69.70-74. 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+. The youngest member of a doubles or team event will determine the age category the team will participate.

Note: On occasion, older individuals may be seeded in a younger age division so they may compete. If an older individual medals in a lower age division, provision will be made for the next place finisher in that age division to medal as well.

Entry Fees

Entry fees are $10.00 per event of participation. For example, if an individual participates in Cycling 5K and Table Tennis Singles, the total fee would be $20.00. Swimming, Track & Field and Basketball Shooting entry fees are $10.00 to participate with a maximum of four (4) events. For example, an individual desiring to participate in Track & Field pays a $10.00 entry fee and may participate in the 50-meter run, 100-meter run, 200-meter run, and Long Jump.

*Golf and Bowling events require an additional fee paid directly to the host facility each day of participation (Golf - $50/ Bowling - $9).

Charlotte County accepts VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover & Diners cards as forms of payment.

Kid's Camp Connection

Feel like giving back to the community? Your donation to Kids Camp Connection assists families in need with their camp and swimming lesson expenses. All families requesting assistance must be qualified and live in Charlotte County. A donation of $20 you will receive a water bottle/sport towel. Donate $30 or more and receive a Charlotte County Centennial Baseball style cap, and water bottle/sport towel.

Awards

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented in each age division of each event. If you are unable to stay or do not receive your medal at the event, you may pick it up the week after the Games are completed at Ann & Chuck Regional Park Recreation Center, 6961 San Casa Drive, Englewood, FL 34224 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday - Sunday.

"Fit for Life" T-Shirts

Participants who enter the 2021 "Fit for Life" Senior Games by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt. To ensure you receive a shirt you must register no later than February 5, 2021.

Refunds

Entry fees will only be refunded if an event is cancelled.

Social Distancing Expectations:

• Please social distance (6 feet apart).
• Patrons are expected to take their temperature before they arrive.
• Patrons should not come to the event if they have a fever or have felt ill in the last 24 hours.
