The Civil War began in April of 1861 and would end in April of 1865. During that time frame, more than 250,000 Illinois residents joined the fight. There were even enlisters from Champaign County! It has been over 150 years since the end of the war, yet stories of its soldiers continue to live on. Come learn about Civil War era artifacts, enjoy live music from the period, meet Abraham Lincoln, AND MORE! Follow our social media for updates as we get closer to the date! Children must be accompanied by an adult. FREE. For more info: (217) 586-2612 or jbien@ccfpd.org.
