Description

Wildlife Biologists study animals and how they interact with their ecosystems. Try out some activities and crafts to study the animals and plants that live around you.


Camp bag is appropriate for ages 3-11 years.

Activities and Crafts Included In Each Bag:

•Plant Observation Activity
Ages 6-11
By making observation ns of animals and plants, Wildlife Biologist can learn important details about what is happening in nature. Try out this activity to explore a plant up close over time.
o Materials included: nature journal, ruler
o Materials needed: pen/pencil, a plant to observe

•Explore a Miniature World
Ages 3-11
Explore the miniature worlds in your own backyard with this activity.
o Materials included: natural journal, string, small and large popsicle sticks, magnifying glass
o Materials needed: pen/pencil, an area to observe

•Insects On a Parade
Ages 3-11
What do you think ants prefer to eat? You can figure it out based on this science project.
o Materials included: plate with marked off areas, nature journal, magnifying glass
o Materials needed: three or four different foods, outside area, pen/pencil

•Animal Movement
Ages 3-6
Do animals move the same way? No, try out this activity to move like different animals.
o Materials included: animal movement die template
o Materials needed: markers/crayons, scissors, glue/tape

•What Happened In This Picture?
Ages 6-11
Check out the included pictures to figure out what the animals are doing.
o Materials included: natural mystery pictures and answers
o Materials needed: none

•Nature Journal Craft
Ages 6-11
Use this nature journal to write or draw your observations from the activities included.
o Materials included: nature journal with blank pages, stickers
o Materials needed: crayons/markers, pen/pencil

•Animal Masks
Ages: 3-11
Decorate these masks to turn yourself into an animal.
o Materials included: three undecorated masks (coyote, jumping spider, mouse), yarn
o Materials needed: crayons/markers

•Binoculars
Ages 3-11
Decorate these binoculars to see nature from afar.
o Materials included: binoculars, stickers
o Materials needed: crayons/markers
