Description
Join us for a keynote presentation by Jonathan Maberry and an all-levels short story workshop designed for teen writers interested in all types of horror fiction—from gothic to cosmic, psychological to slasher, and everything in between!
Led by speculative fiction author Nancy R. Lambert, attendees will explore key elements of writing horror, dark fantasy, and weird fiction, in an energizing and encouraging environment. We’ll discuss topics like developing compelling characters, using story structure to control pacing, and establishing tone with setting, dialogue, and word choice.
Expect brainstorming sessions, writing sprints, and opportunities to share our works-in-progress. By the end of this interactive workshop, attendees will have the tools they need to help them craft, revise, and complete a short story.
