Description
Enjoying learning this beautiful art form. Beginning, as well as advanced students learn and practice the skills, techniques, and philosophy of traditional Xieyi style (free style). Learn about the traditions, symbolism, and culture in Chinese art. Learn to paint the chrysanthemum in Chinese Brush Painting style. Step-by step handout and hands on instruction. No previous experience necessary.
May 16-17 Lotus Flower
All students receive hands-on instruction and detailed lesson plans to take home. Please bring to class: *felt (at least 24x24 inches), *landscape brush or *orchid/bamboo brush, *leaf vein brush, *schuen paper, *watercolors and watercolor palette (white plate will do), saucer for ink, *Chinese ink, wide mouth jar to hold water.
