Description
This course is for students who desire to become lifeguards. Candidates must be at least 15 years of age on or before the last day of class. This course includes comprehensive skill instruction including equipment-based rescues, spinal injury management, post rescue care and other topics incorporating the most current principles of aquatic safety. This course also includes First Aid Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Sessions include water park certification. Students must successfully complete a pre-test before being allowed to take the full course. Students will be notified of pre-test requirements before the course begins. Students who do not pass the pretest will be issued a full refund for the price of the course. Complete attendance in this class is mandatory; make-ups will not be provided for missed classes. Price includes textbooks and certificates.
