This course will provide information and training on proper identification, inspection and service of tire and wheel systems fire heavy truck and fire apparatus. Discussions regarding proper identification and use of the different tire compositions, tire sizes, tire wear patterns, tire dating and proper inflation pressures of tires as well and the different types and styles of wheels used on fire apparatus. Maintenance, proper loading, and safety considerations regarding the latest NFPA standards shall also be reviewed.
