Description

BIFF Film and Discussion

Older Adult Services and the Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) are partnering to bring independent films to older adults online. Prior to the program, participants will receive an email with a specific link to view the selected film, Satan & Adam, 2018, 79 minutes. Join the program for a discussion of this film led by a member of the BIFF film selection committee.

Set in New York City in 1986, Ivy League graduate and harmonica player Adam Gussow pairs up with Mississippi blues artist Mr. Sterling Satan Magee. The duo’s musical stylings align to create a debut record, but the rise from a Harlem Street corner to international acclaim is cut short by the disappearance of Mr. Satan. This film is a journey of friendship, heartbreak, and the transformative power of music.
