Description

Earth System Connections

A changing climate can affect precipitation patterns leading to impacts on agriculture and society. How land is managed impacts the water cycle and climate system as well. Join National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) scientists Danica Lombardozzi and Adriana Bailey to discuss the connections between plants, the water cycle and changing climate.

Dr. Danica Lombardozzi has a B.S. in Environmental Science and PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She is a global change ecologist and co-founder of Boulder's Ozone Gardens, which includes the garden at NCAR’s Mesa Lab main entrance.

Dr. Adriana Bailey is an atmospheric scientist in the Earth Observing Laboratory and works at the NCAR Research Aviation Facility. Prior to becoming an atmospheric scientist, Bailey worked as a Science News Writer for the University of Colorado and NOAA’s Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences.
