Description

Nutrition and Lifestyle Support for Long Lasting Cognitive Function

5.8 million Americans are currently living with dementia, and that number is predicted to triple by 2050. Although these diseases have genetic components, lifestyle factors and inflammatory risk may play a role in determining how genes manifest in disease or become suppressed. Recent research suggest that changes to the brain may happen up to 40 years prior to diagnosis. This program focuses on the risk factors of cognitive decline and looks at the habits of individuals who retain good memory and cognitive ability. Learn what lifestyle habits may be helpful in decreasing inflammation to protect the aging brain and reduce risk for degenerative conditions.

Presenter: Erin Williams, MSN, CN is a Certified Nutritionist with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Nutrition.
