The Pelvic Floor: Ways to Treat and Prevent Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a common condition affecting about 40% of the adult population over age 70, with prevalence increasing with age. This presentation will review pelvic floor anatomy and function, types of urinary incontinence, potential causes, and possible solutions. Participants will learn why incontinence happens, and ways to prevent urge and stress incontinence.

Presenter: Dr. Boyce is a Physical Therapist and pelvic rehabilitation specialist who enjoys working with women and men to address pelvic floor issues to promote independence and maintain an active lifestyle.
