Description

Brain emPower

During the pandemic many older adults have experienced social isolation and disconnect from community and personal activities, which may also bring about or exacerbate cognitive issues. While this online course is specifically designed for people living with hearing loss or concerned about cognitive decline, anyone can benefit from having tools to maintain wellness and stimulation during these challenging and unusual times. Exercises, meditation, diet, supplements and relaxation techniques will blend evidence-based Western neuroscience with best-practices to improve and restore vitality, while focusing on stress reduction and overall well-being.

Instructor: Leslie Van Grove is a hearing-impaired individual with intimate understanding of the challenges that coincide in living with hearing loss or social isolation. She is a certified Alzheimer’s Prevention and Research Foundation specialist, Kundalini yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner.
