Description

This small class is for students who have previously taken two years of ballet. Barre work will continue to strengthen body placement/alignment, increase technique, and introduce demi pointe work. Center practice exercises concentrate on correct placement and balance without use of the barre. Simple petite allegro and traveling enchainment will be executed.


Young Artists Ballet (YAB)

YAB is based on the internationally recognized methodology of the Royal Academy of Dance. The Academy’s syllabi have been devised with great care to enable a child to progress through their dance training in planned stages to insure safety of physical development and well-being. Ms. Kimm will adhere to the carefully structured syllabi and continue to train through the Academy’s professional development courses throughout their teaching careers. YAB Instructor, Ms. Becci Kimm has achieved lifetime membership to the Royal Academy of Ballet. Masks are required to be worn for the duration of class.


Students will enter the BlackBox Theater directly from the back parking lot. Students will need to complete a Covid Waiver prior to attending each class. Dancers are encouraged to use the restroom prior to attending class.


No Class Thanksgiving Week Nov.23 - Nov.28, class will resume the following week.

Dance Attire: Boys - white t-shirt, black tights with black ballet shoes or black dance shorts with white socks and black ballet shoes. Girls - black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair in a bun if applicable. No skirts or tutus. No jewelry. Adults - instructor's discretion. Please use the above as a guide.
