Biography:Al Hart works in the greater DC area as a musical theater teacher/director, vocal coach and accompanist, previously having taught music int he Montgomery County Public Schools. Al has served as music director and pianist for DC's emerging musical theatre improvisation groups, including NowThis and IMusical. As a composer, playwright and lyricist he has developed and composed works for children, many of which have been featured in BlackRock's Musical Theater Summer Camp for which he has served as music director. He also composes contemporary liturgical and choral music and dramatic incidental music. Al earned his BA from Tufts University, and his MM from Boston Conservatory of Music, and studied piano privately with Boston's legendary Mme. Margaret Stedman Chaloff and tuba with F. Chester Roberts.
