Babysitting For Success!
Saturday, February 6th 2021
9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Family Museum, 2900 Learning Campus Drive
Cost: $35 ($45 after Jan. 28th)
Deadline to Register: Feb. 4th)
Kids ages 10-14 will learn the skills needed to care for children safely, basic first aid, emergency management, all while enjoying some fun activities. Group and teacher-led discussions and role-playing during class allow kids to participate in every aspect of this class. There will also be a DVD presentation and special activities throughout the class. Please send your future babysitter with a doll (or something similar) and a snack.
COVID-19 STATEMENT: Please do not send your child to this event if they or any member of the household are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to a positive case, are awaiting test results, or have tested positive for COVID-19. Masks are encouraged for this class, but may be required pending further guidance from state and local officials.
Student Behavior Policy
Our goal at Bettendorf Parks & Recreation is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our participants in every program.
Participants can contribute to a safe and enjoyable environment by doing the following:
Show respect for the instructor by following directions and paying attention during instruction
Appropriately utilize the facility and class materials
Show respect for fellow participants
Abide by all required safety measures in place for the class
The following steps will be taken if participants display behaviors that do not abide by the behavior guidelines:
Gentle reminder and redirection
Moved seat assignment
Short time out from activity
Dismissal for the remainder of the program
*This is not an inclusive list of all offenses, and the instructor will use their discretion to maintain a safe environment for all participants. Here will be no refund for participants removed from a program due to behavior issues.
