4th of July Festival
Non-Profit Food Vendor
Friday, July 4, 2025 - 11am-10pm

All registrations will be dated upon receipt. We endeavor to provide first-rate and a variety of food options at the event. The food vendor selection criterion includes experience, food quality, food type, booth appearance, electrical requirements, available space, and prior performance at any City of Bettendorf event. No commercial vendor may duplicate menu items offered by non-profit groups. Vendors will be notified of menu exclusions prior to the event. All applicants will be notified of selection by June 20, 2025

All selected applicants must:
  • Submit a Certificate of Insurance prior to the event, with the minimum coverage of $1,000,000 liability insurance. The Certificate of Insurance should name the City of Bettendorf and any sponsors and any private property used by the festival as additional insured
  • Ensure they have all applicable permits by contacting the: Scott County Health Department, 428 Western Avenue, Davenport, IA 52801, (563) 326-8618, www.scottcountyiowa.gov/health
Vendor Locations
  • The City of Bettendorf’s 4th of July Committee will determine all vendor locations based on:
    • The date applications and payment are received.
    • The availability of space.
    • If electricity is required.
  • Vendors are not allowed to move from their assigned location at any time.
  • Vendors are not allowed to secure tents/equipment with stakes driven into the ground.
  • All menu items and prices must be posted throughout the entire event.
  • Beer and alcoholic beverages will be sold by approved vendors from designated tents only. No beer or alcoholic beverages may be sold from food vendors that aren't preapproved to do so by the Committee.
  • All employees, equipment, and vending structures must remain a minimum of 10 feet away from overhead power lines at all times.
Vendor Requirements
  • Vendors shall provide the following during the event:
    • 30 gallon or larger trash container for customer use
    • Electrical cords to be connected to electricity supply (provided on-site)
    • Hose approved for drinking water to be connected to water supply (provided on-site)
    • Compliance with all standards of the Scott County Health Department including any applicable permits, etc
Set-Up and Clean-Up
  • Vendors may begin setting up on July 3 at 12pm. The City Electrician, Casey Hoffmann, or the Event Food/Drink Coordinator, Julie Mohr will let you know your assigned space the morning of the July 4.
  • Set-up must be completed by July 4 at 11am
  • Vendors may leave trailers, tents, equipment, etc. at their assigned space overnight at their own risk. The City of Bettendorf is not responsible for any damage or loss.
  • Vendors are responsible for maintenance and clean-up around their assigned space. It is the responsibility of each vendor to clean up their space at the end of the festival.
  • Clean-up must be completed by July 5 at 10am
Merchant Type/Fees
  • $350 - 30' Width - Commercial Vendors that require less than 50 amps of electricity
  • $450 - 30' Width - Commercial Vendors that require more than or equal to 50 amps of electricity (LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE)
  • $100 - Non-Profit Groups
