Earth Day Work Party at the Samish Crest Trail
ActivitySpring / Summer 2021 - Parks|#22960
Description
Join us for our Earth Day Community Work Party at the Samish Crest Trail! Led by Park Stewards and community volunteers, Glen Alexander, Sue Webster, and David Cole, we will be working to remove invasive species and restore habitat along the trail near the Racine St. trailhead. This will help create healthy urban green spaces for all to access and enjoy.
Due to COVID-19, each work party size is limited and RSVP’s are required. Please register early. Strict COVID-19 protocols must be followed, including wearing masks and practicing physical distancing. We request participants arrive on time to hear the full orientation and safety talk. As much as possible, we request participants stay for the full length of the work party.
All ages and abilities welcome! Participants under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Tools, gloves, hand sanitizer, and instructions are provided. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and your mask. Parking information and reminders will be emailed to registered participants.
