Description
Grab your camera and binoculars and join avid birder and raptor specialist Sue Cottrell for a fun, enriching and educational trip. The Skagit Valley is the wintering home to thousands of migratory geese, raptors and swans. It is one of the premium places in the country where you can see Snow Geese, trumpeter swans, bald eagle, and numerous species of raptors from the north that come to the more temperate climate for the winter. It is also one of the only places in the country where it is possible to have a "five falcon day". Sue will take you to various locations, set up a spotting scope and help you identify numerous varieties of birds and waterfowl. Midway through the day you'll take a break and warm up with a delicious no-host lunch. Participants are encouraged to bring their own scopes, binoculars and snacks and/or warm drinks to enjoy in the van as well. Trip Leader: Sue Cottrell
