Description
This American Red Cross Course includes certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Automated External Defibrillation, Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer and Preventing Disease Transmission. At the Precourse Session students must be at least 15 years old and complete a skills pretest which includes swimming 300 yards continuous, using front crawl, breaststroke, or combination of the strokes, swim 20 yards using either stroke, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to surface and swim 20 yards back to starting point with object and climb out at pools edge in under 1 minute and 40 seconds, tread water using legs only for 2 minutes. Be prepared to enter the water on the first day of course for pretesting. Books and syllabus will be available first day of class. A Digital download of the Lifeguarding book will be available for students with ability to bring computer devices to class.
