Description
Andy Porter was drawn into learning Photoshop reluctantly, but as a Nature – Landscape – Night Sky Photographer editing and prepping images for printing is now an integral part of what he does. In this series of classes you will learn how to enhance your images using Camera Raw. This allows you to adjust the shadows and highlights, as well as many other options, and make your image look much closer to what your eye saw when you captured the image. There will be creative lessons about layers and for some lessons you will need to both capture images and edit them. Students must have a current subscription to Photoshop (newest version/subscription) AND HAVE SOME familiarity with it. In other words please don’t download Photoshop for the first time and expect to be able to follow along! The series of 5 classes can be purchased separately for $50 a class, or as a package for $200 for all 5 classes. You will also need to have a camera or cell phone to capture images with as well as a simple tripod! Class 1 – Camera RawThis lesson will cover how to use Camera Raw to edit landscape images. There will be images to download, and edit together, and then you will be editing your own images in camera Raw. We’ll cover how to save the images for sharing and printing. Assignment: edit two of your own pics with Camera Raw and submit before and after. Class 2 – Camera Raw and PanoramaIn this lesson we will review Camera Raw and cover additional tools to make your images look stunning. We will review submissions. We will cover how to use Photoshop to create wonderful panoramas. Assignment: Capture a set of 3 to 5 images, per the lesson and edit in Photoshop as panorama. Submit one complete Panorama. Class 3 – MultiplicityAlso known as “Cloning” in this lesson we will cover how to capture a set of images of one person in different spots and edit them in Photoshop, so it looks as if you’ve cloned them! Assignment: Take a set of images, following the instructions, edit them per the video and submit 1 complete Multiplicity image. Class 4- LevitationLevitation is a rather simple trick with Photoshop, but the results can be quite stunning! We will cover how to capture the images you will need and the Photoshop methods to create your own levitation image. Assignment: Capture and edit your own Levitation image. Submit your best one. Class 5- Review of work, discussion, and Photoshop ResourcesHere we will take some time to review the submissions from the last 3 lessons, answer questions, and cover a wide array of resources for your continued fun!
