Description

Printmaking: Lino-Cut Basics - Intro / Level 1
Instructor: Elizabeth Isakson-Dado

Utilizing the versatile relief printing medium of linoleum cutting, each student will learn step-by-step methods of carving and composing prints. Starting with basic tool training and cutting techniques, participants will learn best practices and skills from the very first class. We will cover image-making from simple carving to creating prints with multiple colors, including lino-reduction prints and modular or “jigsaw” linocuts. Each participant will create multiple editions throughout the course of the class in their own style and at their own pace.
