Brushes - Flat (Bright) Hog Hair #12, #10, #8, #6 and #4 *Intermediate students should consider #16, #20 or #22 - Round Hog Hair #10, #8 and #6 *Intermediate/advanced students should consider larger sizes - 1 Round Sable or Nylon with point #3 - #3 Flat (Bright) Sable or Nylon #10, #8 or larger - Small rubber spatulas with handle - Catalyst by Princeton *Students will need a variety of canvas or wood panel surfaces for the semester, which we will discuss the first day. Miscellaneous Supplies - A roll of Reynolds freezer paper from the market or paper palette pad - Small rags (washcloths work best) - Masking tape - Storage containers or Tupperware ice cube trays to store paint - Set of pastel pencils (black, white and light gray) or pastel pencils for drafting on canvas or wood panels - Assorted sizes of palette knives with bend in handle - Small spray bottle - Art gum eraser - Sketchbook and pencil or pen - *Digital Camera or iPhone will be needed Supplies needed first day of class * Intermediate/Advanced Acrylic Painters *Please plan on attending the first day; we will be talking about the semester and artists that inspire the paintings we will be doing. If you are going to miss, it is your responsibility to contact me for information. For SPRING semester we will be doing thick paint scraping, layering and collage / paint combo. Please have fresh, creamy paint either regular or matte. Gel mediums, different size scrapers (plastic or rubber) and to start a 24" x 36", 30" x 30" or 40" x 40". ***It will be necessary to have your gloss and matte mediums fresh and available. Fresh paint and brushes, both regular and rubber tipped. *Please check supply list for any additions and note that there will be more supplies needed for the semester. *For those students that do not wish to do the suggested curriculum please talk to me about what you will be doing for the semester.
