Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - Level 1
Instructor: Kerry Yaklin

This is an introductory class geared at learning the basic skills for drawing.
This theory approaches drawing as a learnable skill that eases as we modify the
process of how we “see” in order to draw more realistically. Many skills required
to draw effectively are located in the brains’ right hemisphere processing; not the
dominant, analytic, left side. Projects are therefore designed to strengthen and
practice these perceptual skills with how the right brain processes information.
By strengthening these skills, you can feel the joy at achieving realistic looking
drawings by experiencing the mental shift that produces accurate results. Items
covered include: line, positive and negative spaces, proportion and perspective,
light and shading, etc. This class is great for explaining the “how’s” and “why’s”
of the drawing process in a manner that is approachable to
