Drawing: Beginning Portrait
Instructor: Du Truong

Learn how to capture depth and likeness in
portraiture by using perspective lines and drawing
the planes of the structural form. Step-by-step,
students will learn to develop each feature of the
head with guidance from the instructor.

Pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B)
Vine charcoals (pack of small sticks and 1 jumbo willow stick)
Charcoal pencils (2B, 4B, and 6B)
Kneaded eraser
White drawing paper pad (18x 24")
Drawing board
Artist's tape
1 black sheet of Canson paper (19x 24")
1 sheet of cold-pressed watercolor paper (20x 30")
1 gray sheet of Canson paper (19x 24")
* Additional materials may be need for certain techniques, but will be announced in advance.
