Basic Materials to bring to class:
Open Studio InformationBeginning WEEK 2 of the term on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Open Studio is for all students registered for a semester class of 12 hours or more and provides extra time in the studio to work on class projects. Students using open studio time must follow the department policies and schedule set by the BBAC Studio Technician.
Ceramics ProductionThe BBAC ceramics studio is not to be used as a production studio at any time. If you use additional clay purchased outside of the BBAC for projects, there will be a limit on how much the BBAC can fire.
Purchasing Clay at the BBACBBAC offers the service of purchasing additional clay in limited quantities (aside from the bag included when registered for a class). Clay can be purchased during your original class time from your instructor. Each 25 lb. bag of Wheat Stone is $14 and each 25 lb. bag of Porcelain is $17. Clay will not be sold during independent or open studio times. Up to 3 bags per term can be purchased. (There will be no clay sold after the wet-work deadline in each semester.)
