Drawing Skills: Grades 6 – 9

Monday, April 5, is the last day to register for this online class.

Learn to draw what you see through direct observation of your subject matter and the use of references. Lessons will include exercises with basic shapes, value scales, and light and shadow.Grid-drawing, perspective, and various mark-making techniques will also be explored with a variety of subject matter including common objects, portraits and landscape.

Materials list -
• spiral bound sketchbook (9’’x 12’’ or 11’’x 14’’)
• graphite pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B)
• pencil sharpener
• white, plastic/vinyl eraser
• Ultra-fine black Sharpie marker
• Blending sticks (tortillon or stump)

All virtual class  registrations must include an email address and phone number. 
Students will  receive an email three days prior to the start of their online class 
that will  include additional course information and a secure Zoom class link. 
Virtual  classes may be cancelled if the minimum enrollment is not met.
