Virtual Drawing Skills Workshops for Grades 6 – 12
Four different Drawing Skills workshops will be offered throughout the summer. Each one-week workshop will focus on different concepts and drawing skills that you can continue to practice all summer long. Drawing materials will be available by curbside pick-up. Each art kit will include a 9” x 12” sketchbook and drawing tools specific for the individual camp. If you already have the drawing materials at home, you can opt out of the material fee but this can only be completed through direct phone registration – call 248.644.0866 between 11 am – 3 pm, Monday – Wednesday

Virtual Drawing Animals & Reverse Drawing Techniques
Scratchboard Techniques and Drawing on Black Paper with White Pencil

Scratchboard is a techniques that utilizes a tool to scrape the black surface of the paper to reveal the white underneath.

Reverse drawing is a technique used to focus on highlights of an object rather than the dark values. Using black paper as a background, students will create animal drawings with white colored pencil.

Students will learn to draw animals using these two different materials.

Material fee includes two sheets of scratchboard (9"x12"), scratchboard tools, black drawing paper (9" x 12"), white colored pencil, sharpener, #2 pencil
