Almost 5K Poker Fun Run & Walk

The Almost 5K Poker Fun Run & Walk is a family-oriented fun run associated with AuburnFest. This fun run will utilize the new big loop at Les Gove Park. Five loops around is "almost" a 5K (short of a 5K by 1,138 feet). For each lap around the loop, runners will stop, draw a card, and try to get the best poker hand with the five cards drawn. Instead of prize awards based on time, prizes will be awarded for the top poker hand in each age category. Prizes will be award from the stage at 8:30pm. All registrants will still receive a shirt and will be treated to a fun night in the park.

The Almost 5K Poker Fun Run & Walk will be part of the City of Auburn Summer Sounds & Cinema event that same evening at Les Gove Park. The night will consist of two musical performances on the main stage, and a movie that will start in the park at dusk. Also offered at the event will be food concessions/food trucks, inflatable rides and an ArtRageous hands-on art activity.

Early registration fee of $20 ends July 29. Regular registration fee, $23 from July 30-August 8. No registrations accepted August 9. Day-of registration is $25 (on-site registration starts at 5:30 p.m.). T-shirts are not guaranteed for day-of registrants.
