Teaching Style:
In the classroom, Susie works with students individually to help them develop their own unique vision within the framework of hand-built clay. The work may be functional or non-functional and may include materials other than clay.
Beginners will learn, with their hands in clay, the three basic methods of construction (pinch, coil, slab). They will be introduced to various techniques of surface treatment and be guided in their choice of projects. With all levels of students working on projects of their own choice and sharing with each other, beginners and the advanced learn from each other in a relaxed environment and at their own pace.
