Description: How many pollinators are in your area? What kind are they? Bees are an indicator species for human and landscape health. This workshop trains you how to recognize bees, wasps and flies and how to do a pollinator count. By learning basic bee identification and a standardized assessment protocol you can assess the impact of pollinator plantings and management techniques. Bee an asset to your community by examining pollinator abundance and diversity over time! Participants should bring: A stopwatch, wristwatch or timer on your phone.
