Description: The Art Academy of Cincinnati's Virtual program offers a variety of online workshops with 24-hour access to Google Classrooms. Meet with your Instructor and peers with Live Video Class Meetings twice a week to engage in discussions, go over classwork, and participate in artistic exercises. Students can post their artwork for review, discover creative resources, and engage with their Instructors over the duration of the workshop. Engage with your Instructors one-on-one and propose ideas and questions to your classmates. Curriculum, assignments, and demos will be posted regularly throughout the workshop and will vary depending on class subject.
Live Video Class Meetings occur once a week, Saturday from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
What does it look like to have a regular writing practice during these times, when many of us find ourselves cooped up inside more than ever? More importantly, what does it feel like and how can we experience the multifold benefits that a writing practice offers? Cultivating the seeds of our minds—eager ideas, fleeting thoughts, dusty creative desires, and fragmented stories—calls for such a practice.
In this class, we will explore ways to begin or enrich your writing practice, experience the joy of collectively gathering in the name of personal expression, shake off creative stagnancy, and develop writing practices that best support your work and the reality of your life.
Who is this class best suited for?
