Description

Learn to draw the human figure using pencil, charcoal, ink, and color media with an emphasis on contour, gesture, and the underlying structure of the figure. This course will stress two basic concepts as the foundation for rendering the figure: shape and tonal value, both in the context of dynamic composition. This course will teach you how to see accurately and respond expressively; it is suitable for all skill levels as it is both a solid foundation for the beginner and a thorough review of the basics for the more experienced artist. Students will work from a professional nude model. Class cost includes model fee. Materials are not included. Open to adults and teens 16 or older.
