Description

Students in this course will learn how to make beautiful and useful items with excellent craftsmanship. The instructor will teach the class how to safely utilize the woodshop and materials through demonstrations and hands-on learning. Students will use hand tools as well as portable and stationary power tools. Whether making a frame, magazine holder, birdfeeder, or something of a similar scale, students will have their instructor to guide them in a supportive, friendly environment. This class will learn lifelong woodworking skills and self-reliance. By the end of the course, students will have explored the many possibilities of the art form and will have used joinery and building skills to craft their finished project.

This course is for adults and teens. Students ages 13-17 must be registered to take the course with a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by the parent or guardian at each session. The student and guardian must also sign a Blanket Authorization Form. You can fill out the form by clicking here.
