Description
This course will empower students to investigate, capture, and share their perspective. Students will explore the environment around them, subjects, and methods of digital photography before learning to digitally manipulate their images with artistry. Students will learn how to properly utilize DSLR cameras and digital software. This course will have an emphasis in composition, while helping students conceptualize a future body of work. By the end of the course, students will have learned photography and photo manipulation skills, built up their portfolio, and will have their printed images to take home.
This course is for adults and teens. Students ages 13-17 must be registered to take the course with a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by the parent or guardian at each session. The student and guardian must also sign a Blanket Authorization Form. You can fill out the form by clicking here. This will also be sent in an email a week before the course begins and must be completed before the first session.
Required Materials: A journal, a writing utensil of your choice, and a flash drive (at least 32 gigabytes). If you have a camera that you would like to use, please bring it with you on the first day of class and talk with your instructor.
