CAMP ART ACADEMY Week #4, Ages 5-8 | Value + Emphasis

Printmaking has been crucial in disseminating information for centuries and remains an essential medium in art, fashion, and storytelling! Students will learn how printmaking allows preservation of history, communication, and impactful design. Students will study and employ value and emphasis as they practice various techniques and many types of printmaking including screen printing, typographic printing, and monoprinting. Projects this week incorporate both creative writing and printmaking which students will craft after gaining inspiration from artists around the world like Barbara Jones-Hogu and Wangechi Mutu as well as notable AAC alumni Kreigh Collins, Edna Boies Hopkins, and Harry Shokler.Read our protocols here.
